Hello from Bamako, Mali

I arrived here in beautiful Bamako, Mali late Wednesday night. It is now Friday afternoon, and I have finally gotten around to starting up this little blog. I'll post pictures and thoughts from Mali as my three week adventure unfolds. I would love for you to check back often to learn about what I'm up to here in the heart of West Africa. I'll do my best to keep it interesting, and please let me know what questions you have about Mali. There are fourteen erudite students here in the house and two knowledgeable guards, so someone is bound to know the answer or where to find it.
